Holidays

Ok we are going to enjoy the holidays, we are going to enjoy the holidays, we are going to enjoy the holidays if it is said enough maybe it will happen. Wonder why that is so hard to remember sometimes. Mom in law, brother in law his wife and 3 kids all coming for Thanksgiving. I'm doing most of the cooking. Then there is only 3 weeks till Christmas break. Kido is in the Christmas Parade next week have to make an elf costume for that, then we have an open house coming up. We are going to my parents for Christmas so there is alot going on hope to get back here before then but if not will for sure in Jan.

Wow

Wow it has been ages. Thanks sooooooooooo much to Raine for finding me :D. I got a new puter and didn't have the links to get back to her blog or mine for that matter. Now that I have them and finally remembered my password to get in I'll try to post more frequently.

vacation

Ok I'm spending the week at my parents. Those of you who have known me a while knows what that means but it's actually not been too bad thus far. Am most certainly gonna need a vacation from the vacation when I get home. Have been to Bushgardens Williamsburg, Monticello, and the beach so far. Still going to water country and out to lunch with a friend so still got somethings to do.

Summer Time 2

Summertime, summertime, sum sum summertime summmmmerrrrrrrrtiiiiiiiimmmmme. ok imagine music and bad singing with that LOL. Summer is going very well. Got to investigate the bag of veggies and see if it is enough stuff to put some up or just enough to eat. Wish I could find a way to put up cucumbers and them still be cucumbers not pickles. Kido can almost eat her weight in cucumbers. The other day she was walking around with a peeled cucumber in one hand the salt shaker in the other eating it like you would a banana. She and I are going to visit mom and dad in July and she is going to the beach with kids from church in July so that will be a busy month. Hope all the new puppies out there are doing well. Look forward to hearing puppy stories.

Summer Time

Yeah it's summer time. I am enjoying it. Put up corn and squash in the last couple of days thanks to church members bringing produce from their garden. It will be nice to have them this winter. Also had enough to have some with our meals now. I know we arn't suppose to eat it but I am soooooo ready for okra to come in to have some good fried okra. Maybe tomorrow I will start on my summer project of refinishing the end tables I have at least I'm going to give it a try. It has been good for me to have some days off.

Weekend

wow it's been a busy but great weekend. Decorated 3 cakes this weekend for a graduation reception which was today. I had so much fun doing that.

Dr visit

Well went to the dr yesterday. He is having me go to a physical therapist for the hurting saying it is the scyatic joint out of whack. The PT that comes to my classroom for my students did some stretches and adjusting while he was in my room today got me some definate relief and I will start seeing him in his clinic first of not next week but the next. Dr. also increased my blood pressure meds, gave me something for the asthma and wants to see me back in 6 weeks to redo blood work i had done in feb and will then consider adjusting my meds for sugar issues and triglicerides. I really liked this new dr. He spent a full 30 min with me taking my history and such. First time in ages I feel like a dr actually listened to me. He was also LOL YOUNG like right at my age maybe a bit younger. He is from the area and has returned to where he grew up to take care of those who live around here. That means maybe unlike the last 2 drs I've been to maybe he will just stay put and not close up shop.

dont know why this hurting comes around today was a bit better than the last few days seems like this time of the year each year last year dr said there was probally a pinched nerve in the 3d or 4th lumbar verterbre who knows also have scyatica just seems to really wear me down its only 6:30 pm and i feel like i could go to bed and sleep till morning but the good thing is today has been a bit better than the last few. Raine I miss ya just never get lucky enough to be online at the same times maybe someday

today

today well today is one of those days that i just dont even wreally want to deal with for the last few days my hip, back, legs arms and head have been aching huring and tight its not so much how bad it hurts but more how constant it is i dont want to whine and fus but im soooooooo tired of trying to cover it up i have a dr apppointment wed so hopefully maybe he can help some i refuse however to take any form of pain med other than those that are like the perscription strength of ibuprofin well so muhc for my vent

wierd

How wierd haven't even thought about my blog in ages as I hardly get online any more.
Read what I had last written and low and behold it was about helping with an adoption event for the local rescue leage. Today kido and I are off to help with yet another adoption event. To me that was wierd. Things here are going ok just don't have much time to be online. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Cold and fun

Well today was coooooooold and kido and I spent the day outside walking dogs for the local animal rescue league. We were at the movie theater where the move Hotel for Dogs opened. The league managed to adopt out 9 dogs today which is wonderful. We had a great time and it felt good to be outside but was very glad we had on good coats as it was in the low 40s.

Another dog activity I am enjoying is the sled dog racing has begun again for the year. I live way to far south to learn to mush but would love to. I have a husky/lab mix and started learning about it when I got her. I am really enjoying keeping up with the different races online and lol our 40's for temps is better than the musher's last weekend that had 40 below temps.

Days are going ok here most are good and it's very good to be kind of even not great days not bad just good stretch of even days. The days seem to be doing quickly.

I have a student who is 5 and his mom called me today to tell me that he for the first time in his life had sat up for almost 15 minutes in the floor unsupported. It makes me think of how thankful all those who have children with out problems should be but it also made me sooooo estatic felt like jumping up and down and running over to see it but I didn't. I will have him do it for me Tuesday. I know it sounds strange but the little things like this are what make it possible to teach the kids I do every day. One has to be excited over the little bitty things and they make the days of very little progress seem manageable.

A good day

Wonderful wonderful day. We went to the mall several hours away and enjoyed roaming and looking. Got some things such as a smaller 3 quart bowl for my Kitchen aid stand mixer (I have the really big one that came with a 6 quart bowl) That was christmas from hubby. Also got a new wallet, not sure I like it but it will do sure takes up less room in my purse. Got some new nice towels for kido's bathroom marked down to 4.99 instead of like 12 bucks. She has a black bed spread with various color 2 inch poka dots on it, striped sheets and such its really cute and the bathroom that opens off her room has a clear shower curtain with poka dots in tons of colors on it. She picked out towels in different colors wash rags one color, hand towels another, big shet kind of towels got 2 colors in them. I was a bit worried but it works perfectly in her room/bathroom. All in all it was a great day. Also one of the guys I've been kind of watching in the dog sled racing world last year or so won the men's division of the race he was in this weekend up against some of the most famous racers. Race season has started and I'm really enjoying having learned enough in the last couple of years to knwo where to look and how to find out info on the different races. In a couple of weeks there will be another one called the copper basin I hope this guy does well there too.

a month

wow over a month since i was here to post last where does time go things have been a moment to moment day to day kind of thing one really good one so so one bad just up down round and round maybe being off work the next two weeks will give me a chance to really write a good entery thanks to those who put up with me. Things in 3s Dont look at post if things trigger you easily

They say things happen in 3s warning if you trigger easily dont read this cause its not pretty over all im doing ok but grief has a way of coming and going when one least expects it my fatherinlaw that i loved dearly died in july it wasnt too bad holding it together and being strong for my family then in september my grandfather died it was his time he lived a long good life and for the last year he has been miserable and living as a shell of who he was so although ill miss him greatly im happy for him at the same time that he isnt in pain anymore he isnt trapped in a body that will not function God is good and i know pop is with him and fixing things there much as he did on earth then this week number 3 comes along and it has brought all that grief all the upset that i had been keeping in check and the balance i had and it has thrown it out the proverbial window one of my very very good friends lost her 22 yr old son this week in a car wreck not only has her pain been horrid we have all be effected by it at work he graduated from our school in 04 He was a wonderful young man one of the strongest christian i know he wasnt one that just gave lip sinc to his faith he lived and breathed it. he left behind a wife and a 10 month old baby the wife was like 19 and her birthday was thursday but he had already bought her a present and his mom dug in his truck and found it still intact so she was able to give it to the wife all this is just dragging up all the pain of losses and it also brings up that it could have been my husband, my child i dont know why but this has been really hard on me hard to shake hard to let by i cant even coherently write this blog post well to anyone who has read thsi thanks for putting up with my rambling i feel better putting it down on "paper" so to speak.

wow

ok time goes on but really fast. In the last couple of months we have gotten moved, burried my grandfather, moved more stuff in from his house, and can't seem to find a set routine except leave home early (6:30) every morning for work get home at 5:30 or later every night after waiting on kido at cheer pratice or staying for ball games to watch her cheer. It has been fun. Football season is about over now we move into basket ball. Over all things here are going well just tyring and very little time to be online.

Life is Good :)

Life is going good. School has settled into a routine (busy busy one) LOL and stuff with the chruch is going good. We should get to move in the new house in the next 2 weeks or so which would be really nice.

Stuff

ok we burried hubby's dad the 26th of July, came home had a few days and then school has started back. I'm glad I need the routine back. Teaching so far this year is great and kido seems to be enjoying her classes. I am so ticked off about online banking. The main bank I use is great never have a problem with their site but the local bank is horrible. Had to set up an account which I did and in the process had to answer lots of questions like favorite color, where did you meet your spouse and such. First time I ever logged in worked great. Then to log in you have to not only put in your screen name, then answer the questions then put in your password and then you can be logged in. However EVERY freaking time I've tried to log in since it tells me the answers to my questions are invalid same answers I gave the first time and it freezes it so I can't access on line. Not alot pisses me off but this is STUPID and I am seriously considering changing banks. ok now that I vented I feel better :) hope everyone reading this is having a better luck than I am.
